Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe Flying Banana at Cardiff Central (geograph 6169871).jpg |
English: The Flying Banana at Cardiff Central. To mark the end of class 43, High Speed Train operations to London by Great Western Railway, GWR ran a farewell railtour - The Flying Banana, named after the original nickname of the HSTs - across much of its network. The tour featured first-built production power car No. 43002 (in its 1976 retro-livery) and last-built No. 43198. Here the tour arrives at Cardiff Central on its way to Carmarthen. |
