EDINBURGH WAVERLEY​ railway Station

Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, or simply Waverley, is the central station serving in Edinburgh, Scotland. Also, it is the second busiest rail station in the country, after Glasgow Central. Opened in 1846 and recently renovated, Waverley station amazes with its medieval buildings and glass-roof platforms, which are well visible from the Waverley Bridge.

​The Waverley is situated between Edinburgh's Old Town and the 18th-century New Town, which means it's easily reachable from many significant sites. What's more, the railway company owns the Victorian and Edwardian era style hotel near the Waverley station, called the North British Hotel.
