CrossCountry is a train operating company owned by Arriva UK Trains. The franchise, CrossCountry, was founded in 2007 to serve long-distance trains across the United Kingdom. Providing high-speed trains, CrossCountry connects many cities in England, Scotland, and Wales, including Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, and Birmingham.

​CAN I TRAVEL ON THE TRAIN WITH A WHEELCHAIR?

Yes, all CrossCountry trains can carry manual or powered wheelchairs. It cannot be larger than 700 millimeters in width, 12000 millimeters in length, and no more than 300 kilograms (including passenger).

​DO ALL OF CROSSCOUNTRY TRAINS HAVE FIRST CLASS?

Yes, first-class travel is provided in all CrossCountry trains. Passengers can enjoy spacious and comfy seats and quieter spaces.

​CAN I TAKE MY PET ON A TRAIN?

​Yes, passengers are allowed to take dogs, cats, and other small animals (no more than two per passenger). 
Dogs must be kept on a lead. Dogs without leads, cats, and other small animals must be carried in a basket or pet carrier. Plus, animals and their baskets cannot occupy seats; otherwise, a charge will be taken.
