Inverness railway STATION

Inverness Train Station was opened in 1855, and currently, it's the important and only one rail station in the city. Owned by Network Rail, the station is operated by Abellio ScotRail, which runs the most services.

​Also, there are Caledonian Sleeper and London North Eastern Railway, which run services to England. The station connects plenty of towns in the UK, including Glasgow to Inverness, Edinburgh to Inverness, etc.

HOW TO GET TO Inverness railway STATION?

Surrounded by tourist attractions, Inverness Station is situated in the center of the city and it can be reached in various ways.

• BUS: you can take any of these busses from/to the Inverness Union Street: 4, 4A, 1A, 1D, 2, 2A, 8, 3,6, 12, and many others.

• TAXI: taking a taxi is always the most time-saving and pleasant way to get to or from the railway station. Look for a taxi in the rank.

• ​WALK: if you are eager to take a walk along Inverness' streets on your way to the station, it will take about 11 minutes from the Inverness Castle.
